If you aren't familiar with the potter's wheel and wish to learn the basics and main principles of wheel-throwing, this class is for you.
Develop a basic knowledge of techniques and methods and create functional works to bring home in this one-to-one class, which runs over 3 sessions of 2,5 hours (7,5 hours in total)
CLASS OVERVIEW:
The first session focuses on getting to know the material and its properties, learning to center, and how to throw the basic cylinder shape.
In the second session, we will explore how to throw different shapes and you will have plenty of time to work on your own pieces.
The third session is about trimming, adding details, and finalizing the work.
You can freely choose between stoneware or porcelain and are welcome to create and keep up to 5 works.
The glazing is done by the teacher with a glaze of your liking from the LODEWA glaze library.
The class will take place in our cozy and well-equipped studio located on the vibrant street Blågårdsgade in the heart of Nørrebro.
NOTE:
In the calendar you will find the dates for the first session of the course only. Together we will find dates for the remaining sessions, according to your calendar and studio availability.
